LMP Griffins Give Back and Reach New Heights with Community Service

Lake Mary Prep's 8th-grade class exemplified the spirit of giving back with a powerful morning spent at the Second Harvest Food Bank. Working diligently in an assembly line, our Griffins packed an astounding 1,020 boxes of food! This incredible effort translates to approximately 13,000 meals that will make a significant difference to families right here in Central Florida. Their hard work and dedication will help nourish our community and provide much-needed support to those in need.

But the day wasn't just about service; it was also about building camaraderie and fostering teamwork. After their impactful work at the food bank, the 8th graders enjoyed an exciting afternoon at the Central Florida Zoo. They took to the Aerial Adventures ropes course, where they faced challenges together, encouraged one another, and learned the importance of collaboration in overcoming obstacles. It was a fantastic opportunity for them to bond, build confidence, and create lasting memories.

From packing meals to navigating ropes courses, our 8th graders showcased the diverse ways they contribute to our community and grow as individuals. We are so proud of our Griffins for their commitment to service, their willingness to embrace new experiences, and their embodiment of the Lake Mary Prep spirit.
