Lake Mary Prep's 46 seniors in the Class of 2023 submitted a total of 251 applications to 120 universities. Three of our students decided to take gap years before heading to college, and one is returning to Italy to finish his final year of high school there before applying. The remaining 43 will attend both 2 and 4-year universities in the United States and Canada and in 13 different states.

Lake Mary Prep's 46 seniors in the Class of 2023 submitted a total of 251 applications to 120 universities. Three of our students decided to take gap years before heading to college, and one is returning to Italy to finish his final year of high school there before applying. The remaining 43 will attend both 2 and 4-year universities in the United States and Canada and in 13 different states. Four LMP seniors were recruited to play golf and will continue their athletic and academic careers at Babson College, Piedmont University, Dartmouth College, and Manhattan College.
In addition to their academic achievements, the Class of 2023 is also involved in a wide range of extracurricular activities. These activities include student government, debate team, drama club, and the robotics team. We're excited to see what they do on bigger stages in the future!
A few facts about the LMP Class of 2023:
- One student earned a perfect score of 800 on the math section of the SAT
- Two students completed all four years of high school with unweighted 4.0 GPAs
- 50% of our applicants were accepted to the University of Florida, including two into the Honors Program (12% acceptance rate!)
- 75% of our applicants were accepted to Florida State University, which had an overall acceptance rate of 44% for FL high school students this year
- 11 of our seniors were accepted to one of Niche's Top 50 U.S. Universities
- 15 of our seniors were accepted to one of U.S. News & World Report's Top 50 Universities
The faculty, staff, and administration were honored to be part of these special students' stories, whether they were at our school for one year or 13. We feel confident they will change the world in their own ways, big or small.
